So Dzejrid won yesterdays competition among 229 total Orc names entered. They choose 'System Shock 2' as the prize and selected Tavern Dialogues as the topic of todays competition, Congrats Dzejrid!
TODAYS THEME: Tavern Dialogues
Come up with the best things you'd hear in taverns in game and submit them as comments here!
The prize pool is (a choice of one of the following):
* The Darkness II
* Sid Meiers Pirates!
* Wizardry 6 & 7
* Or a copy of Warsim
So this one is definitely a bit more challenging than orc names, but just try to think of the sort of stuff you could hear in the tavern of this fantasy realm. For reference here are a few dialogues taken from the TavernTalk.txt file, to see more you can find the TavernTalk.txt file in the Warsim data folder.
* I've been far west, that goblin ale is weaker than a new born babe
* How... how did I get this drunk
* One more drink I think!
* *hic* I'm the king! King of the wooorlldd... *hic*
* Everyone knows a kobolds dozen is 7
* Who farted? smells like an axeman's privy in here!
* Saw a naked orc the other day... I shudder at the thought
Excited to see what you guys will come up with, definitely more room for humour and creativity here than in yesterdays comp!
And if the winner replies by the end of the day tomorrow they can also choose the next days topic from a choice of the following three:
* Hero Suffixes (ie John the Great, Naxnar the Lost)
* Quest items (Things that can be found when adventuring such as, Gold Crown, Bronze Skull, Pile of old news scrolls, Diamond Greatsword)
* Human Names (Turning normal names backwards can sometimes reveal some real gold fantasy names)
