This update attempts to address one of the common difficulties of building: figuring out why two parts don't connect. The crosshatching pairs with a colored dot on the crosshair to help players understand where they can and cannot place their selected part.
1.5.2
Major Features
- Added color coded crosshatching to connection surfaces so new players can more readily identify what parts connect. This is enabled by default but can be disabled in the settings menu.
Minor Features
- Rebalanced longneck damage to start at 50 and ramp to 150 between 50m and 150m. Previously did 100/200 between 100m/200m.
- Spawn HP decays in a fixed amount of time, regardless of damage taken.
- Added 50 more HP to spawn protection (same decay rate) so one person cannot spawn camp two people in one chamber.
- Reduced requirements on most challenges so its quicker to unlock cosmetics.
- Increased gatling gun damage from 30 to 35.
- Added a warning before grief kicking players.
- Once a ship changes hands it becomes fair game to damage for both teams for the rest of the match regardless of team.
- Reduced fps lag caused by placing/deleting parts on bigger ships.
Bug Fixes
- Removed lag dependence on autopilot controls.
- Fixed scaling of world space HUD elements when zooming.
- Fixed railgun particle behaving awkwardly when moving between shots.
