This update introduces the first two resource refineries: the Aetherium Hardener and Wood Petrifier. These fort exclusive parts can be loaded with raw resource parcels to output their refined varieties at a one-to-one ratio. Refineries can store up to three parcels but the finished product must be manually removed before the next refining process begins. Each refinery is uniquely shaped to encourage clever building strategies to maximize resource refining speeds.
Resource refining should open up a new twist on late-game resource collection, hopefully turning the slowest and safest collection strategy of mining into a high yield operation. Remaining refinery varieties will be added over coming updates.
Delivery contracts are receiving a rework with this update to be more accessible. Many players did not understand why they had to cost gold and avoided them so the reason they needed to cost gold is being removed. Delivery contracts now load your ship with a wide variety of playfully named valueless materials. Extracting your deliverable will give you nothing and you can't get them anywhere else so keep them safe. Deliveries will no longer function as a high yield reward for collecting bounties and are now an easily repeatable highly accessible activity.
