As you know, Blue Horizon continues to get better every day, not just bug fixes but we want to give you what we think would be more fun to play.
We have been deciding whether to expand the game, in particular the ship seems like a good candidate for some upgrades!
This is what we have come up with so far for the ship you use.

All these can be purchased from a new character - The Ship Builder.
He (and his workshop) will reside in Port Cutlass, visit him to discuss upgrades to help defend against, and defeat those Pirates!
