Hello Miners,
We're nearing Eight Years in Orbit, which means it's time for another mandatory work social!.
The past eight years have seen record profits for the Deep Rock Galactic Corporation, thanks in no small part to your hard work in the mines. We can only imagine what the earnings reports will look like years from now, when you’re nearing the end of your standard 30-year contracts. We like to think of this company as a family, and you are our valued, situationally expendable family members.
In order to properly applaud and appreciate your efforts, we'll be hosting a Company Party!
The 'Eight Years in Orbit' Party is going live next week on Tuesday, March 3rd at 13.00 CET. We believe you are capable of both intense drinking and intense mining, so we'll keep the celebration going for two entire weeks. Here’s a preview of this year’s anniversary celebration:
Exclusive Hat - Limited Availability!
"To infinity and beyond!" is what we'd say if the hat was turned sideways. Featuring genuine gold plating and teeny pickaxes, this is the ultimate headwear for any hard-working dwarf looking to showcase their dedication to the Company. A team from R+D’s Future Concepts Division spent the past eight years working on a name for this hat, and they came up with ‘Party Hat - Year Eight’! You can acquire this beauty by completing the associated assignment. Please note that this is a rare instance of a time-limited exclusive hat, so be sure to get it completed before the event ends. In other words, get to work!
Double Up on Performance Pass Bonus
The anniversary is making us feel generous (don’t worry, we’ve already booked an appointment with a specialist), so how about a Double Performance Pass Bonus? If you spot a hidden Year 8 Anniversary Trophy in the caves, dig it out, deposit it and get your bonus! Be aware that you may need to use the scanner to locate it.
Free beer?!
What could possibly go wrong when mixing dangerous levels of alcohol with dangerous levels of hostile aliens? Management is confident that this incentive will lead to an increase both in morale, and profit. You'll be able to drink Oily Oaf Brew, Glyphid Slammer and Leaf Lover’s Special* for free throughout the event!
*Management will not be held responsible for any pointy-eared name-calling resulting from consuming this beverage.
A dance floor for the smooth operators
If you've been longing for a gilded marble dance floor, you're in luck! We've decked out the Space Rig with confetti, balloons, and decorative drinks to create an atmosphere in which you hopefully will be motivated to work hard and play hard.
