A name that exists only once
In Kinhenge you do not play a hero, you play a bloodline. The surname you choose is the name of your family: it is carved on the Kin, the standing stone at the heart of your village, and it is carried by your children, their children and everyone born under it.
That is why every surname exists only once in the whole game. Not once per server: once, everywhere, for good. If a family called Halden walks the island, nobody else will ever be a Halden.
The registry is open
You do not have to wait for the game to claim your name. The surname registry is open on our website:
Reserve your surname on kinhenge.com

Type the name you want and the page tells you straight away if it is still free, and shows you how it will look carved on the stone. A surname can be 2 to 12 characters long, so it fits on the Kin, and spaces, apostrophes and hyphens are allowed.
How it works
To keep the name you create your Kinhenge account, with an email and a password or with your Google or Steam account. It is the same account you will play with: when you enter the game you log in the same way and your surname is already there, waiting for your first family.
One thing to think about before you press the button: once reserved, a surname cannot be changed. Choose the one you would be proud to see on a stone.
First come, first carved
Short names, old family names, the name of your clan or your guild: the good ones will not stay free for long. If there is a name you want your bloodline to carry, now is the moment to claim it.
