Xenonauts 2 News Recap

Full release 7.26.1 brought balance and gameplay changes to Xenonauts 2. Some of the standout changes include an ARES buff increasing its strength to 100. The explosions caused by certain dying aliens will no longer destroy items on the ground. This patch also made some gameplay improvements, like alien spawners on certain missions being permanently revealed after being seen once. There were also some improvements made to the shroud, improving visual clarity when throwing grenades and making it easier to determine when the camera is interacting with tiles on the edge of the shroud.

Full release 7.27.3 is the most recent update to come to Xenonauts 2 and focuses on continuing to bring gameplay improvements and fixing bugs. This patch addresses the laser weapon research entry incorrectly displaying damage in the research screen, and the research tech has been updated. Mods also no longer have a maximum version, as this was causing a lot of confusion in the modding scene. This patch also introduces bug fixes like a bug preventing players from uploading mods to the Steam Workshop via the game and a handful of rare crash fixes.
