Hello everyone,
The Steam Autumn Sale is here, which means that the 2024 Steam Awards are soon to follow. Nominations have opened, and we’re hoping you’ll support Xenonauts 2 by nominating it in the Labor of Love category.
If you’ve been keeping up with our monthly development updates, you know that we’ve released 3 major milestone updates, 18 smaller milestone patches, and 44 experimental patches in the last year. With Milestone 3, we upgraded to Unity 2022, introduced a swath of new content, introduced the Bleeding Wound System, and made notable improvements to our AI. With Milestone 4, we released even more new content, some major gameplay changes, and focused on making some key improvements to various missions.
Now we’re hard at work getting Milestone 5 prototype ready for testing. This milestone will bring some major changes for Xenonauts – like the addition of an “Invasion Phase” system and a “strategic operations” system that gives players more control over the Geoscape and opens up even more strategic gameplay options. We also hope to include the complete sequence of story missions in Milestone 5 so you can play the entire campaign from start to finish – and with some additional story missions in the later campaign stages!
Developing these updates has been a labor of love for us, and we’re eager to see what all of you think of the new additions.
Most importantly, we want to thank you all for your enduring support through the last several years of Xenonauts 2’s development. It’s been such a pleasure to watch this community grow, and to incorporate your feedback into creating the best game we possibly can.
If you want to show us a little extra love today, please click the “Nominate” button that’s part of this post and nominate Xenonauts 2 for the 2024 Labor of Love award.
Thank you again for supporting Xenonauts 2!
