Hi everyone, I'm windvix. The Roly-Poly Panda demo has been out for a week. Thank you to everyone who's let Roly onto their desktop. If you haven't tried it yet, the demo is free with no time limit: click Download Demo on the store page.
What's fixed
No bug reports have come in yet. I tested with a second monitor myself and found six problems. All of them are fixed in the October 9 update (v0.4.3). The main ones:
- Carrying Roly from one monitor to the other showed only half of it as it crossed over
- Dragging a window to the other monitor while Roly lay on top of it left Roly floating in midair
- After changing the main display or rearranging monitors, Roly sometimes moved to the bottom-right corner by itself
Also, if you put food or a toy on the other monitor, Roly now walks over to get it. The full list is in the patch notes.
A few things you might have missed
- Right-click Roly and choose Feed. The food stays in your hand: wave it around and Roly reaches for it, then click to let go
- Under Give a toy, hold the ball by Roly's paws for a moment and it'll grab it
- Double-click Roly for a happy little hop
- The Diary in the right-click menu keeps track of your time together, including the first time Roly shows off a new trick
What's next
More fixes, and I read every comment. On October 30 and 31, Roly will be wearing a pumpkin costume for Halloween.
