Get your dice out. Grab a mixed handful from the corner pouch, shake it and give it a roll. Watch the dice settle, then read the result.
The free Handful of Dice demo was updated on 13 October. Steam downloads the update automatically, on Windows and Linux.

One way to pick dice
The pouch in the bottom-left corner was already the default way to pick dice. Now it is the only way. The old drawer is gone, and so is the Dice selection setting.
On 3 October we said that you could switch back to the drawer in Settings. That is no longer true. If you had chosen Drawer, the game now opens the corner pouch for you.
Move to the corner to open the pouch, click a die to take it into your hand, grab your hand to shake, and let go over the tray to throw.
What happened to saved hands
Saved hands, dice notation and Keep/Replace lived in the drawer. With the drawer gone, you cannot reach them in this version of the demo. If you saved hands before, they are still on your computer, unchanged.
These tools were harder to use than they should be. We plan to bring them back in a form that is quicker and easier to use, and we are redesigning them now. There is no date yet. We will show you when they are ready.
Sound feedback
- Closing the pouch plays one sound.
- Each die clicks as it lands in your hand.
- Sending dice back plays one sound for the whole return, even when you sweep several dice back at once.
Draw a box on touch screens
On a touch screen, drag across empty felt to draw a selection box. While your finger is down, you see which dice the box will take.
