- New player look: the player is now a cut-out figure. The arms hold the gun properly, the legs step without sliding, and recoil and punches are animated.
- Smoother movement: the player speeds up and slows down smoothly. Dashes and sprints still start at full speed.
- Camera: it looks ahead in the direction you move or aim, and the top-down view is tuned closer.
- HUD: everything sits in the corners now. Top left has the radar and floor, top right the clock and late exits, bottom right health, weapon and loot. Ammo, reload and stamina are no longer on the HUD because the crosshair and your character already show them.
- Footsteps: players and enemies make footstep sounds you can place by direction and distance, out to about 15 units. Sprints, dashes and runner bursts are loud; walking is quiet.
- Hearing rings: when the fog hides someone moving, a ring appears where they step. It is small for walking, large for sprinting, pink for enemies and pale for players.
- Fog: the player's view radius goes from 14 to 15.
- Server: a new Linux build is live on the NAS and uses the Postgres backend.
Known issues:
- The footstep sounds are placeholders.
- The player has no death, reload or pain animation yet.
