Hey everyone, I’m Pedro, the solo developer behind Legacybound: a traditional roguelike RPG where, when your hero dies, their heir carries on with a lesser version of what they unlocked.
Before you jump in, I’d like to quickly explain how the game works. A lot of it isn’t obvious at first, and every run plays out differently.

TL;DR
Choose from 12 different classes
Complete quests and clear dungeons for XP and top-tier gear
Unlock perks and attributes as you level up
Unlock titles (legacies) by killing enemies, earning upgrades and new skills
Build your character to face growing challenges in new areas
Either die and pass your legacy on to a new hero, or complete the main questline and retire your adventurer
It’s a traditional roguelike where you keep getting stronger, and so do your enemies. It never becomes a walk in the park, but it’s never an impenetrable wall either.

Exploration Tips
Go off the main path and explore each area fully before moving on. You may find hidden treasures or enchanted statues.
Be careful with hidden dungeons. You may run into minotaurs or witches very early.
Explore calmly and don’t get surrounded.
Pick your fights wisely. Aggroing one extra mob can easily be your end.

Combat Tips
Use the right skill for each enemy. Silence casters, disarm brawlers, root ranged enemies. Huge armor? Sunder it. Huge evasion? Cripple it. Read the skill descriptions.
Heal up and cleanse your damage-over-time effects. A fight can feel winnable, but going for one extra hit is risky when you never know if the enemy will crit.
Spend your movement points wisely. Every point you spend in a turn reduces your attack power.
Don’t burn all your mana. Keep a reserve for long fights in case you need a heal.

Buildcrafting Tips
Don’t go full damage. If you’re not alive, you can’t deal damage.
Know your item enchantments. Effects like a chance to heal on hit, or casting a spell when you take a hit, can turn a lot of battles around.
Study each class before picking your second class at level 5. Passives and skills can synergize really well.
Test, test and test. (Just kidding. Play whatever you want to be and see how far you get.)
Before I go, a friendly reminder: you’re meant to discover things and HAVE FUN above all else. As a developer, that’s my main wish. Let me know what you think. Thank you!
