Hello everyone,
Development of The Airline Century is progressing very smoothly.
Most of the game’s core development is now nearing completion, and we are currently working toward releasing the game according to the announced release schedule.
A New Gameplay Trailer
We will be releasing a brand-new trailer for The Airline Century soon.
Rather than simply focusing on the atmosphere of the game, this new trailer will place a much greater emphasis on actual gameplay — the decisions players will make, the systems they will interact with, and what it feels like to manage an airline.
Our goal is to summarize the overall gameplay experience and several of the game’s key systems in one concise trailer.
Once the new trailer is released, the current trailer will be replaced.
Our Approach to Paid DLC
We would also like to take this opportunity to share one of the principles that we consider especially important while developing The Airline Century.
That principle is our approach to DLC.
We think of DLC in a similar way to the side items in a hamburger meal.
If the base game is the complete hamburger, then paid DLC should be more like the fries or the drink — something that is not required to fully enjoy the main experience, but that can add more variety and enjoyment for players who want it.
Because of this, features or content that we believe are important to the core experience will, in principle, be added through regular updates or free content.
Paid DLC, on the other hand, is intended to remain optional. It should offer new experiences, additional depth, or different ways to enjoy the game without making players feel that something essential was removed from the base game.
We are not yet ready to share details about any future additional content, but if and when we begin developing DLC, this principle will remain at the center of our approach.
We believe that The Airline Century should feel like a complete game on its own.
What Comes Next
This announcement is only the beginning of the development updates we plan to share.
Starting with our next announcements, we will begin showing actual gameplay footage and introducing the major systems of The Airline Century one by one.
We hope you look forward to the new gameplay trailer and the development updates that will follow.
Thank you for following The Airline Century.
