I recommend uninstalling and reinstalling the demo.
• Added Field of View settings
FOV can now be adjusted from 80 to 110, with 90 as the default. Your choice is saved between sessions, and throwing and charging effects now correctly respect your selected base FOV.
• Expanded frame rate options
You can now choose between 60, 120, 144, 165, 240 FPS or Unlimited. The old fixed 60 FPS demo cap has been removed.
• Improved ball pickup responsiveness Reduced the Grab input cooldown, making missed or slightly early pickup attempts less punishing.
• New successful parry effect
Successful active parries now trigger a fast comic style impact burst alongside the existing visual and audio feedback, YES satisfaction :)
• Improved settings menu readability
Added extra background contrast so menu text and buttons remain clear.
• Improved first person camera positioning
Reduced camera clipping into nearby walls while leaning.
• Improved anti aliasing and shadow stability
Eliminated the distracting distant shadow noise that could previously appear in some areas.
• Court marking materials improved
Court lines and centre markings now react naturally to lighting instead of appearing unnaturally bright in shadow.
• Lighting polish across both playable maps
Adjusted sunlight direction, shadow softness and indirect lighting for stronger depth and more readable environments.
• Default music volume reduced
The default music volume has been lowered to a more comfortable level, no more earblasting much nicer when opening the game now.
No changes have been made to passive blocking or ball collision in this update. I decided to leave those systems alone rather than change gameplay based on feedback I was uncertain of.
Thanks to everyone who has played the demo and sent feedback. More substantial updates are still in development, but I wanted to get these smaller improvements into the live build first.
