If you tuned into today’s Harvest of Terror showcase, from the wonderful Horror Game Awards, you will have seen us announce this new first person climbing survival horror game! What’s that, you say? You haven’t seen the trailer? Let’s rectify that.
Below the Blades is a tense, first person climbing game with some seriously ominous vibes. Isolated location? Check. Chilling sound effects? Check. Looming shadows? No backup. A stalking monster that longs to throw you to your doom? Check check check.
You’re tasked with climbing Turbine 46, finding the electrical faults and restoring full function to the megalithic tower, standing tall at 660 meters. You’ll have to factor grip strength and stamina while judging the weather; fatigue will let the winds tear you from a ladder and fall to your death, so plan accordingly. And did we mention the monster?
There’s something on the tower with you. We won’t give anything away but it’s not friendly and you should avoid it. Curious? Try the demo now and you’ll be able to play the full game when it launches Nov 12.
