Making a Dub Pack used to mean building a zip by hand: numbered files, a backing track with every word cut out, timings typed into text files. Now the game does that part for you.
What it does
- Drop in any video file and trim it to the scene you want, up to 2 minutes
- Press Find the lines and every spot where someone talks lights up in a second or two
- Click a line, hear it, and pick who says it. Or press Auto assign and the game separates the voices, works out who is talking and writes the captions for you, in 55 languages
- The voices come out of the background track on their own, so your dubs play over clean music and sound effects
- Fix anything it got wrong in the line editor, name your pack and play it straight away
How to try it
Update Dub Rumble, then press Create Pack on the home screen, right next to Start. You'll also find it on the Choose a Dub screen.
When your pack is done, press Try it now to dub it yourself, or Upload to the Workshop to play it online and share it with everyone. Please only share clips you have the right to share.
Auto assign runs on your own PC. On a fast PC it takes about as long as the clip, a laptop takes a little longer, and an NVIDIA graphics card makes it a lot faster.
It's a beta
This is brand new, so expect some rough edges. If something breaks or feels confusing, tell me on the Discord or press Send a report in the game. Your reports decide what gets fixed next.
Can't wait to see what you make.
