Archive Redesign — Data View, Card View & Better Library Management
The Content Archive has received a major redesign.
You can now browse and manage your entire content library in two different ways: a new Data View built for fast management and comparison, and a redesigned Card View for more visual browsing.
Both views share the same filters, sorting, search, and selection state, so you can switch between them at any time without losing your place.
📊 New Data View
The Archive now opens in Data View by default.
This new layout is designed to make managing a large content library much faster by showing the most important information directly in the list.
Each row now includes:
Cover
Title
Genre
Popularity
Fatigue
Number of airings
Runtime
License status
Renewal cost
Audience demographics
You can quickly scan dozens of titles without constantly opening the inspector.
Content currently scheduled in your lineup also displays a small indicator, making it easier to see what is already being used.
↕️ Sort Your Archive Directly from the Table
Several columns can now be clicked to sort your library.
You can sort by:
Popularity
Fatigue
Airings
Runtime
Renewal cost
The currently selected sorting method is clearly highlighted in the header.
This makes it much easier to answer questions like:
Which programs are becoming overused?
Which titles have barely aired?
Which licenses are expensive to renew?
What is currently my most popular content?
🖼️ Redesigned Card View
Prefer browsing your library visually?
Switch to Card View at any time.
Card View now uses smaller covers and shows significantly more information directly on each card, including:
Popularity
Fatigue
Airings
Runtime
Audience preferences
License status
Renewal cost
The result is a much denser layout that lets you see more of your library at once without sacrificing useful information.
On desktop, the Archive can display up to four cards per row, while smaller screens automatically adjust the layout.
👥 Audience Demographics at a Glance
Both Archive views now include a compact audience profile visualization.
Five small bars represent how strongly each title appeals to:
Kids
Teens
Adults
Seniors
Families
This makes it much easier to understand a program's target audience without opening its full details.
A Kids-focused show, a broad Family program, and an Adult-oriented Documentary can now be distinguished almost instantly.
📄 Clearer License Information
License status has also been redesigned to be much easier to read.
Titles now display a compact status indicator showing whether the content is:
Original
Licensed
Expiring soon
Expired
For licensed content, the number of remaining days is visible directly in the Archive.
Renewal costs are also displayed alongside the status, making expiring content much easier to manage before it disappears from your schedule.
⚠️ Important Content Is Easier to Spot
Cards and rows now communicate important states more clearly.
You can quickly identify:
Selected content
Expiring licenses
Original productions
Currently scheduled programs
This means less time hunting through menus and more time actually managing your station.
🔍 Filters, Search & Selection Stay Between Views
Switching between Data View and Card View does not reset your Archive.
Your current:
Search
Filters
Sorting
Selected content
all remain active.
Your preferred Archive view is also remembered, so the game will reopen the Archive using the layout you last selected.
📱 Improved Mobile Layout
The Archive redesign also includes a new responsive layout for smaller screens.
On mobile, the dense Data View automatically transforms into compact stacked rows so the important information remains readable without requiring a giant horizontal table.
Card View also adjusts automatically from a multi-column grid to a single-column layout.
The existing content inspector and actions remain available, including:
Schedule
Edit Content
Renew License
🎬 A Better Archive for Growing Stations
As your station grows, your Archive can quickly fill with dozens or even hundreds of movies, shows, episodes, and original productions.
The previous layout worked well for browsing a smaller library, but it became increasingly difficult to compare large amounts of content quickly.
The new Archive is built for both situations.
Use Data View when you want to manage your library, compare statistics, find expiring licenses, or identify overused programs.
Use Card View when you want a more visual overview of your content and are deciding what to schedule next.
Switch between them whenever you want — all without losing your filters, sorting, or selection.
Thanks for playing TV Station Tycoon!
