Today's update rebalances Sponsor Campaign rewards to better reflect how difficult each campaign type is to complete.
General Awareness campaigns are receiving a small payout reduction because of their flexibility, while Genre Campaigns now offer higher rewards for requiring more deliberate programming.
General Awareness — Lower Risk, Lower Reward
General Awareness campaigns can be completed across normal programming without restricting your schedule to a specific genre.
Because they're the easiest campaigns to fulfill, their monetary rewards have been reduced by 10% across:
Signing payment
Per-ad payment
Completion bonus
Failure penalty
The campaign requirements, duration, and difficulty scaling remain unchanged.
Genre Campaigns — Premium Rewards
Genre Campaigns require ads to be aired alongside matching genre content.
A Sci-Fi campaign requires Sci-Fi programming, while a Comedy campaign requires Comedy content.
To compensate for this additional scheduling requirement, Genre Campaigns now receive:
+10% signing payment
+25% per-ad payment
+35% completion bonus
+10% failure penalty
The largest increase goes to the completion bonus, rewarding players who successfully maintain a genre-focused schedule throughout the campaign.
Requirements Remain Unchanged
This rebalance affects monetary rewards only.
Ad requirements, viewer targets, campaign duration, and difficulty scaling remain exactly the same.
The genre restriction itself is the additional challenge — Genre Campaigns don't receive higher requirements simply because they pay more.
Content Needed Is Still a Warning
If you don't currently have suitable content for a Genre Campaign, the CONTENT NEEDED warning will still appear.
However, you can accept the campaign anyway and then acquire the required content from the Marketplace before the deadline.
This allows you to take on a campaign as a reason to expand and reshape your programming lineup.
Difficulty Scaling & Rounding
The existing Easy / Standard / Hard / Premium difficulty system remains unchanged.
Campaign-type modifiers are applied on top of the existing difficulty scaling, so a Hard Genre Campaign will continue to pay more than a Hard General Awareness campaign at the same difficulty.
Sponsor values also continue to use clean rounding rules to keep payouts easy to read.
Why Rebalance Sponsor Rewards?
Different sponsor campaigns now have different strategic demands, and their rewards should reflect that.
General Awareness offers maximum scheduling freedom, so it receives a modest reward reduction.
Genre Campaigns require you to build your schedule around specific content, making them more demanding but also more rewarding — especially when you successfully complete the entire campaign.
The goal is to make campaign type a meaningful strategic choice, rather than simply a different label for the same sponsor deal.
Choose the campaign that fits your station — or reshape your schedule to chase the bigger reward.
