The Demo is Nearly Here
The Bilge Rats demo goes live on Steam at the end of September, a little ahead of Steam Next Fest.
It's the first day of the game, start to finish. You wake up in Crook's Haven owing money, pull a few jobs off the board, and take the ship out to earn it back. Then you try to get home before the evening storm starts putting holes in the hull. That last part is usually where the chaos starts!
What's in it
One full in-game day containing the tutorial day jobs, roughly 15 to 20 minutes, and you can replay it as often as you like
Solo, or co-op with up to four players, with proximity voice chat
A ship that needs an actual crew: helm, sails, anchor, lookout, and a bilge that needs bailing when things go wrong
A different set of islands every run
The demo starts a fresh run each time you launch it, and nothing carries over to the full game.
Tell us What You Think
Bilge Rats is made by a team of two, and so far the only people who have played it are a handful of friends internally playtesting. This is the first time you get your hands on it, so honestly, all feedback helps. What broke, what confused you, what you wished you could do, what made you laugh. Post it in the Steam discussions and we'll read every one.
If you like what you play, a wishlist does more for a game this size than you'd think.
See you at the Haven.
