Genesis: Rise of Life — Hotfix #1 for 0.3.3
This hotfix harmonises display behaviour across Windowed and Fullscreen modes, restores several essential HUD elements, and improves tutorial readability.
Display and HUD
- Menus and the HUD now retain a consistent size across Windowed, Borderless Fullscreen, and Fullscreen modes, regardless of output resolution.
- Both fullscreen modes use the display's native resolution. In Windowed mode, players can select a fixed size or automatically use the full available screen area.
- The World Render Scale, adjustable from 50 to 100%, changes only the sharpness of the world during gameplay. Menus and the HUD remain rendered at native resolution so that text and controls stay crisp.
- The HUD and critical screens remain readable and correctly framed on compact laptop displays, tall aspect ratios, and ultrawide screens.
Tutorial — First Instincts
- Every tutorial objective list has been made smaller to leave more room for gameplay without reducing readability.
- During the first carnivore exercise, the omnivore cell now moves as soon as the objective begins. It does not hunt or attack the player until provoked, then returns to its normal behaviour after the first hit.
Saves and settings
- Existing saves and progression remain compatible.
- Previous graphics settings are migrated automatically: a fixed fullscreen resolution becomes an equivalent render scale between 50 and 100%, while an automatic setting remains at 100%.
