The biggest update since launch: your pet can now play with you, talk back (a little), and notice when you're gone.
🎮 Rock-Paper-Scissors
With the camera on, pump your fist three times (the classic "rock, paper, scissors, shoot!") — or type /rps in the chat. Your pet counts down 3·2·1 on a little card it holds against its chest, reads your hand sign, and reveals its own pick at the same moment (it chooses before it can see yours — no cheating). It sulks when it loses, gloats when it wins, and keeps score. Lower your hand and the game ends; pump again within a few seconds to keep the score going.
👍 👎 Thumbs up, thumbs down
A thumbs-up earns a purr and lifts its mood; a thumbs-down… does the opposite.
🔊 Pet sounds
Click your pet and hear it purr. Every character has its own voice — meow, woof, noot noot, beep boop, bloop — and taps on the glass make a soft "tick tick".
🐾 Taps on the glass
Ignore your pet for a while and it may paw at the screen to get your attention. Type /tap to trigger it yourself.
👋 It notices when you leave
Step away from the desk (no face in the camera, no keyboard or mouse) and after a minute or so your pet dozes off; come back and it wakes up and greets you. If you put it to sleep yourself with a fist, it stays asleep until you wake it.
🪞 Calmer face mirroring
While mirroring your face the pet no longer bobs its head with its breathing, and camera noise is filtered adaptively — much less jitter when you hold still, faster response when you turn. Your mouth is still mirrored 1:1.
Changes
- Putting your pet to sleep with a fist now requires holding the fist still for a second — a pumping fist starts a game instead.
- /rps only works with the camera on (it needs to see your hand).
- A tap on the glass interrupts dancing.
- The global quit shortcut (Ctrl+Shift+Alt+Q) was removed — it could close Pixie from any app. Quit from the tray menu, ⚙, or /quit.
- New ⚙ switches: "Hand games" and "Pet sounds".
As always, everything runs locally on your PC — no account, no network.
