Major update today in preparation for the final rounds of playtest. Here is some of the improvements and fixes:
New
- Game host can go back to the lobby alone: The host can now go back to the lobby and set up the next map while everyone else can stay in-game and view the art.
- 13 new maps: Cat in Space, Five Fireworks, Harbor Fireworks, Jungle Fever, Metropolis Fireworks, Mushroom City, Sunken Harbor, The Desk, The Greenhouse, The Mine, The Tidal Pool, Tropical Islands, Underwater Art Deco. Ten old maps retired; the roster stands at 60.
- The paint wheel grew up: UNDO is on the wheel, the three brushes are the first ring, your recent colors ring the middle, and Tab toggles it instead of needing to be held.
- Map Library search is now back on the front page of the Map Library.
- Sudden Death ends when one hider stands: the survivor wins the round and banks both the victory and the bonus points.
- Map roulette lets you regret a accidental pick until the reels settle.
- The paint sandbox got its figure size controls back.
Fixed
- Turncoat is now called Turncoat again.
- Blur no longer strip paint off your figure.
- The Reveal Ramp is visible again if enabled. At full ramp the halo is unmissable.
- Locking in before the round clock starts no longer banks the top hide-speed bonus, and a rare freeze at the seek intro is gone.
- FFA taunts does not give bonus points once everyone has found you.
- Gallery ballots keep their votes when someone disconnects mid-vote, and votes for an exhibit that left are handed back for a re-pick.
- The character size selector now works as expected, and Automatic accounts for the map in addition to the number of players.
- Ultrawide screens can now see the whole map in a match when it starts.
- The score screen shows your figure truly borderless when holding Space.
- The F1 help box stops flickering at the blackboard and is useful while locked.
- The seeker role callout can no longer stick on screen after a slow map load.
- No more double countdown after map rotation.
