Patch v1.0.9 Notes:
Note Viewer: A dedicated note viewer is now available in the pause menu (under "NOTES"). You can now re-read any collected notes and easily track your total collection progress!
Match Ability Polish: Improved matching logic, highlighting closer items first, complimenting a previous small patch that prevents highlights now remove when picking up an item or placing on a shelf.
Highlight Visuals: Brightened highlights for items and shelves when using the Match and Location abilities.
Upgrade UI Fix: Fixed an issue where placed gold stickers blocked mouse clicks on underlying card slots, which previously prevented further upgrades.
HUD: Added real-time HUD updates for ability unlocks and resized ability icons for better readability.
Previous recent patches have addressed several other issues, including save game calculations, Steam achievement tracking, Upgrade UI sticker placement, missing textures, inventory syncing, and various stability fixes.
Looking Ahead & Community Feedback: Shockwave Ability
We are planning to balance and tweak several other parts of the game in upcoming updates, and we’d love to get your input!
Specifically, we’ve been reviewing feedback regarding the overall usefulness of certain abilities: most notably Shockwave. We are considering replacing Shockwave with an ability that automatically gathers matching items directly into the player's inventory, similar to other games in the stocking/sorting genre.
Our initial design goal for Storehand was to emphasize physical interactions with objects in the world, but Shockwave may not be as practical in daily gameplay as originally intended.
We’d love to hear your thoughts: Do you enjoy the physics-based chaos of Shockwave, or would you prefer a direct item-gathering mechanic instead? Please let us know in the comments or Steam Discussions!
