Guild upgrades used to be six rows at the bottom of the Shop. They have their own
window now, with a drawing of the house at the top that fills in as you buy.
Open Collections (menu) first. It is one click and it is the fastest way to see
what this update did to your save.
The Guildhouse

8 upgrades over 41 stages, where 5 stood over 20. Three are new: the Barracks
boards a second hireling, the Wain adds two pack slots a stage, and the Cellar
keeps Shop boons alive 25% longer a stage, so a five minute boon runs thirteen
at the sixth.
The second hireling is the biggest thing in the release. A mule adds four pack
slots, a torchbearer makes travel 20% faster, an apprentice regenerates your MP
15% faster, and until now you picked one and watched the other two go by.
If you already bought upgrades
Every stage is worth less than the stage it replaced, because the ceilings did
not move and the ladders got longer: the Bell pays 0.8% speed over five stages
where it paid 1% over four. So your stage counts are moved up when the save
loads, to the stage of the new ladder that pays what your old one paid, and the
game says so in a line. A Bell at 4 of 4 comes back at 5 of 5 and still gives 4%
speed. The Stable lands two points short, because six stages of 5% is where its
ladder ends. Everything else you paid for, you keep.
The Board of Feats

Eleven feats, and three doors on each: a deed licenses it, prestige unlocks it
for every run after (3, 4, 6, 8, 11, 14, 18, 23, 28, 34, 41), and gold hires it
onto the run you are playing (40,000, then 350,000, then 4,000,000). You wear one
at a time to start with and eight with all seven levels of the Warden's Papers.
Every one of them is a standing choice or a standing fact: you set the board, and
then you play.
The first kill on a floor is always a crit.
A 19 counts as a 20 on checks.
Unmet beasts are hunted first, and the weather favours skies carrying beasts you have not killed.
Refused gear hangs on the trophy case wall.
Two are set once and honoured all run: what the noticeboard posts, and how boss trophies arrive.
Collections

Ten collections in one window: bestiary plates, beasts mastered, achievements,
treasures, boss wall names, hirelings met, feats licensed, Guildhouse stages,
modules and endings. Each row has a bar and names the window it came from. The
Bestiary, Trophy Case, Achievements, Hirelings and Modules windows each got a bar
of their own at the same time.
Prestige

Three new lines, and the window opens during a run now instead of only at
enrolment.
The Warden's Papers: seven more feat slots, 1,100 prestige for the set.
The Examiner's Word: +1 ability point at enrolment, five levels, and never past 18.
The Filled Papers: 20 prestige for a Random button that fills the sheet and starts the descent.
Balance: retiring was the wrong move
Measured with a probe that drives the game headless: a run left standing at the
bottom paid 2.04 prestige an hour forever, while playing all the way down and
then retiring paid 1.04. The best move was to ignore the Roll of Honour.
Prestige from sitting at the bottom now tapers, and retiring restores the rate.
The pension pays properly for depth: a full run of the Maw is worth 294 where it was 60.
Offline pays exactly what a game left open pays, so quests grant +1 stat less often than they did while you were away.
Each Shop boon you buy raises its own price a tenth, up to 10x, and the count dies with the run.
After the change, sitting pays 0.50 an hour and finishing then retiring pays
2.43. Everything you already earned stays yours.
Smaller things
Six beasts in the Bestiary have drawings sent in by players, and I would take more.
Options: Simplicity states every bonus in plain words, +3% crit chance rather than +3% clean strokes.
Options: Size scales the whole window from 100% to 300%, and 4K opens at 150%.
Gear and trophies in the log carry their rarity colour.
The music cross-fades between tracks instead of leaving a second of silence, and ducks under a fanfare.
A choice answered mid-fight puts its reward in the pack right away.
Illnesses say that they hinder you, in red.
The Skill Tree fits the screen it opens on, and closes on a phone.

writing up a roadmap for the next few updates and I will post it there first.
