The show hall
- A second building on the yard, standing free opposite the warehouse, with two doors: a service door to the hall and a customer door to the car park. The yard between them has become walkable, fence and gate included.
- Show basins with a panorama pane. People come in to see the animals – so they sit behind glass rather than in a concrete trough.
- Two kinds of customer. Some have made up their mind and only want to hear the price. Others want advice: you suggest an animal and point out what is genuinely good about it. Talking up a weak trait shows in the price.
- Haggling runs in two phases. First you have to win them over for the animal at all – below a certain confidence they will not name a number. Then they make an offer, and your slider starts there. The market value sits next to it; you never see their pain threshold as a number, only in their face.
- Bagging happens at an oxygen cylinder next to the show basin. The cylinder is a consumable: order it, carry it over from the delivery zone, stand it up – and when it runs dry, fetch the next one. While bagging, the camera moves to a fixed spot, the koi visibly travels from the net into the bag, and you fill it by holding the mouse button.
- Hitting the sweet spot while filling pays off mostly at Aquamart: a shipment whose bag sits in the green lasts a whole extra day in transit.
- You get paid at the handover, not at the handshake. Leave the buyer standing too long and you lose both the sale and reputation.
- The sign on the door decides when customers come, not the clock. Visiting hours are 10:00 to 18:00, never on Sundays.
- Mara speaks up when somebody is waiting over there, a bag is still open, or the oxygen cylinder is missing – the show hall sits across the yard, and from the main hall you cannot see any of it.
Outside
- A river with a waterfall. A mountain stream comes off the south-east massif, drops 100 metres and passes the yard as a valley river – with a gravel bed, a wet bank strip and a line of foam.
- The treeline looked washed out. The cause was the volumetric fog: the sun heated it at full strength, and its anisotropy laid the veil in one viewing direction only. On top of that the leaf cards were glossy – a highlight on an alpha card reflects a surface that is not there. Blown-out leaf pixels: 0.93 % down to 0.01 %.
- Earth ponds and yard puddles are gone. A flat surface with a high specular reads as sheet metal, not as water.
- The near trees are photogrammetric models, and the tree with the oversized leaf cards no longer stands in the near row but as a single yard tree next to the farm shop.
Operations
- Several tanks of the same species are now explicitly allowed – stocking, panels and the key display follow suit. Until now your stock ended up in the FIRST tank of that species no matter where you poured it, which made a second trout tank impossible to stock at all.
- The way back out of the counter: goods can be carried back into the cold room with the basket. Shelf life now depends on where a lot is stored, and the share already used up travels with it – so moving things around does not rejuvenate them. Spoiled goods no longer vanish by themselves; they have to go into the bin.
- When packing for Aquamart24 you choose yourself which order goes into the box. Before, the station decided and assigned by tub order – with two orders for different sizes, arbitrarily. What does not fit is listed greyed out with the reason.
- Express shipping is priced by reputation, the farm shop's XP base drops from 20 to 5, and the first breeding tier no longer hangs off a tank.
- The manual has its own chapter on the inspection tub.
Fixed
- A 30 cm band flickered at all four corners of the show hall. The long wall and the gable wall both ran into the same corner, leaving two surfaces exactly on top of each other. The corner is its own part now – with the sheeting that matches its direction.
- The splash plinth ran straight through both door openings – a 35 cm threshold you simply walked through.
- The blue inspection tub stood inside tank B as soon as tank A became the koi tank.
- Customer patience started the moment they entered the yard. An advice customer spent half of it on the walk across the yard and their own tour. It now starts only once they are actually waiting.
- People walked on while you talked to them. They turned their head towards you but kept walking to their waiting spot.
- You could not serve across the counter – you had to hit the person themselves. The counter now also has a till on it.
- The price slider moved in 5-euro steps and now moves in single euros.
- Freshness was deducted twice – a long-standing bug found while rebuilding the way back to the cold room.
- SDFGI now runs on two cascades instead of more.
