Preparing the first Playtest build is taking longer than expected, so the opening announced for the end of August has been delayed. We're continuing to work on it and will announce the start when we're ready to welcome testers, without setting another deadline now.

The first wave of access
The first wave of access will be distributed through the official Hoop Dynasty Discord community, giving the people who have followed the project from its earliest days the first opportunity to step onto the court.
What this first Playtest is for
This is an early Playtest, not the final Steam Next Fest demo. Its purpose is to put the current version under real pressure and collect useful feedback on:
- stability and save continuity;
- career interface clarity;
- RPG decisions and their consequences;
- Match Center flow;
- player growth and career progression.
The first wave will be intentionally small. Access will expand gradually as the game becomes more stable and the most important feedback is addressed.
The road to Steam Next Fest
Development is continuing toward Steam Next Fest in October. The current target for the festival demo is a complete College season that ends with the Draft. The PRO and European career paths will remain locked beyond that point for the full game.
Joining Discord, adding Hoop Dynasty: Rise of a Legend to your Steam Wishlist and being selected for the Playtest are independent actions. A Wishlist is never required for Playtest access, and joining Discord does not guarantee selection.
