Marshals,
Update 0.12.4 is now available for Crown Marshal.
This update scales core combat values to a larger numerical range and fixes rounding losses that previously affected low-Attack units, Attack Tech, flat damage reduction, and percentage-based bonuses.
Balance Changes
Global Combat Values Scaled by 10x
The following combat values have been increased to 10 times their previous values:
- Health for all units and modifications
- Attack for all units and modifications
- Healing for all units and modifications
- Flat damage
- Flat damage reduction
- Battlefield skill damage
- Battlefield skill shields
- Battlefield skill healing
- Stronghold base Health
- Temporary Health granted by Scorched Earth
This change only increases the numerical scale.
Relative unit strength and battle outcomes remain unchanged.
The following values keep their original scale:
- Energy
- Prices
- Percentages
- Ranges
- Timings
- Player Health
Every Attack Tech Level Now Has a Real Effect
Low-Attack units previously lost part of Attack Tech's +10% per level bonus because of integer rounding.
For example, a Goblin Warband with 4 Attack progressed through all five Attack Tech levels as:
4 → 4 → 4 → 5 → 5 → 6
This meant that the first two Attack Tech purchases could consume Energy without actually increasing the unit's displayed Attack.
With the new numerical scale, every Attack Tech level now produces a real stat increase.
The larger scale also improves two other rounding-related cases:
- Flat damage reduction no longer easily creates complete immunity against low-Attack units simply because their values are too small.
- Percentage-based bonuses such as Commendations no longer lose part of their intended value to rounding.
Thank you for your continued support and feedback.
See you on the battlefield, Marshals!
