Marshals,
Update 0.11.1 is now available for Crown Marshal.
This update introduces the new Psionic Ward battlefield skill and the Overloaded Boiler modification for the Locomotive, along with a Militia balance adjustment and a fix for unit inspection during live spectating.
New Features
New Battlefield Skill: Psionic Ward
Added Psionic Ward.
- Permanent unlock: 4,000 Valor
- Existing accounts do not receive it automatically
- Initial in-match cast cost: 200 Energy
- The skill can be cast once per round
- Each later cast during the same match costs an additional 100 Energy
Choose a target point during deployment. The Psionic Ward opens 2 seconds after battle begins.
The ward has:
- Radius: 12 m
- Duration: 10 seconds
- Dynamic protection based on whether a target is currently inside the area
Allied units and ordinary buildings inside the ward are immune to:
- Meteor Strike
- Burning Rain
- The Mage Apprentice's Ember Rain
Psionic Ward does not protect:
- Strongholds
- Direct hits from ordinary fireballs
- Splash damage from ordinary fireballs
Units immediately lose protection when they leave the ward.
Psionic Ward can be equipped in:
- A starting skill slot
- A reserve skill slot
When placed in reserve, the corresponding Ritual: Psionic Ward card can unlock it during the match.
The ward includes a cool-blue boundary and dedicated absorption feedback when it blocks an affected attack.
The AI can also use Psionic Ward. Once a relevant threat has been revealed, it can deploy the ward to protect valuable troops and buildings.
Locomotive Modification: Overloaded Boiler
Added Overloaded Boiler for the Locomotive.
- Permanent unlock: 2,000 Valor
- The Locomotive must be owned before purchasing it
- Existing Locomotive owners do not receive it automatically
- In-battle installation cost: 200 Energy
- Mutually exclusive with Anti-Air Barrage
When a Locomotive equipped with Overloaded Boiler dies, it explodes.
The blast extends 3 m outward from the edge of its hull and deals 500 fixed damage to:
- Enemy ground units
- Enemy ordinary buildings
The explosion does not damage:
- Allies
- Flying units
- Strongholds
The following defensive mechanics on affected targets still apply:
- Shields
- Incoming-damage effects
- Flat damage reduction
- Group damage sharing
An Overloaded Boiler explosion can trigger another Locomotive equipped with Overloaded Boiler, allowing chain detonations.
If the final surviving units on both sides are destroyed by the resulting explosions, the battle correctly ends in a draw.
The route includes dedicated:
- Copper pressure tanks
- Pressure gauge
- Red relief wheel
- Glowing exhausts
- Boiler explosion effects
- Scorch marks
- Sound effects
Balance Changes
Militia
Reduced Militia base Attack.
- Base Attack per member: 6 → 5
- Base DPS for a full ten-member group: 50 → about 41.7
The following remain unchanged:
- Health
- Deployment cost
- Group size
- Attack interval
- Range
- Movement speed
Fixes and Improvements
Live Spectating Unit Inspection
Fixed battlefield groups not responding to clicks during live spectating.
You can now open read-only group details directly from the board and inspect:
- The publicly revealed unit
- Publicly revealed modification routes
- The skin used in that match
Spectator inspection is strictly read-only and does not send any match action.
Thank you for your continued support and feedback.
See you on the battlefield, Marshals!
