In 11.8, Shadow Slayer goes live on Steam in Early Access. If you've been watching this page for a while, here's what you're getting into:
This isn't another horde-survivor. Your weapons still fire themselves, sure — but the real game is not being seen. Every guard has eyes, ears, and some have noses. Slip through shadow zones, break line of sight, use rain and nightfall as cover, and execute anyone who hasn't noticed you with a single silent strike. Get spotted, and the same weapons that one-shot sleeping guards suddenly do very ordinary damage against something that's now actively hunting you back.
What's in at launch:
33 playable hunters, each a distinct loadout and passive kit
18 hunting grounds — from the Salt Flats' total exposure to the Catacombs' claustrophobic maze — each with its own weather, hazards, and a signature landmark worth finding
14 weapons with evolutions, 22 passives, relics, crafting, pets, and per-character skill trees
6 modes: Classic, Endless, Hardcore, a 5-night Campaign, NG+ Ascension, and local 2-player Duel
100 achievements, daily & weekly seeded challenges, full controller support, and six full languages
Every sprite is code-drawn, every sound is synthesized live — the whole game weighs less than a single screenshot of it
Why Early Access? Shadow Slayer is fully playable and content-complete today — this isn't a demo with a roadmap bolted on. Early Access is about tuning stealth balance and difficulty against real players before we lock in 1.0, and prioritizing what you actually want to see next (online leaderboards and ghosts, new biome bosses, building interiors, and more are already planned).
Wishlist it now so you don't miss launch day — and if you've followed the devlogs this far, thank you. See you in the shadows.
