Gulugulu starts with a small duck living beside your desktop, but it is not only a screen decoration.
When a supported local coding agent is working, the pet can react to the session and turn the tokens being used into food and XP. The agent connection is optional: no API key is required, and the core game still works without it.
Away from the editor, you can:
• care for the pet and watch its little workday reactions;
• hatch eggs and collect hand-made species;
• level two pets and fuse them into a new creature;
• expand the backyard and keep track of the collection;
• enter the factory for a more active run built around shifts, cards and increasingly questionable corporate decisions.
I am still testing the release build, so there is no public demo or open key distribution right now. I would rather say that plainly than invite people into a version I am not happy with yet.
Gulugulu launches on August 18, 2026 at 00:00 GMT+8 for USD $1.99. If a desktop duck that watches your agent work sounds useful—or at least emotionally accurate—you can wishlist it now.
Thank you for following along.
