This one is mostly about how cargo feels in your hands. Thanks to everyone who sent feedback from the demo; a lot of this came straight from watching where people got stuck.
Pallets, reworked
- E grabs and releases a pallet. While you haul one, both mouse buttons belong to the pallet: LMB always loads, RMB always unloads. No more dropping the pallet by accident.
- RMB now sets the top parcel down anywhere flat: the floor, a truck bed, a wagon, or on top of another box. Belts and shelves still work as before.
- Hold RMB to unload the whole pallet one parcel at a time. Sweep your aim to lay them out in a row.
- Longer reach while hauling, so the load no longer blocks the parcel you are aiming at.
- A free pallet after your first shipment. Send your first truck and HQ sends you a pallet, a level-up, and a three-step lesson on using it.
Carrying
- New Click to Latch carry mode (default): a short click picks a box up, the next click drops it. Holding LMB still works exactly as before. You can switch back under Settings.
You can now see WHY a parcel got hurt
- Damage numbers now say what caused them: HANDLE WITH CARE, KEEP UPRIGHT or KEEP IT COLD.
- Repeated hits on one parcel merge into a single growing number instead of an unreadable pile.
- "This side up" parcels flash amber and warn you in the prompt before they take tilt damage. Previously the first warning was the damage itself.
Trains
- A train now waits for exactly as long as the timetable says. A hidden second timer was cutting every visit short.
- The dock shutter stays sealed while a train is moving and opens when it parks.
- On day one, the first wagon can't be sent away until it is unloaded.
- Fixed the tutorial train leaving while the game was waiting for you to pull the lever.
Tutorial
- New card on your first scan explaining what the outline colours around a parcel mean.
- Tutorial clips re-recorded.
- The tutorial no longer dims the screen on top of a warning card.
Settings and quality of life
- Setting bars can be clicked and dragged, not only stepped with the arrows. Volume now moves in steps of 5.
- Your held tool is put away when you sit at the PC or use a panel, instead of floating in front of the screen.
- The basketball hoop now celebrates properly.
Fixes
- Fixed parcels teleporting across the map when grabbed again right after being shelved or loaded onto a pallet.
- Fixed the mop falling through the floor and being lost. A lost mop now returns to its holder.
- Fixed mop foam rendering black in dark rooms.
- Fixed a lighting issue on the cigarette and on cleanable floors.
As always, tell us what breaks and what feels off; it helps more than you'd think.
