Greetings Director,
Thrilling news streaming in from the exonet Director. Video game developer Brightrock Games, who were immortalised digitally sometime in the late 21st century have announced their first new video game in several hundred years.
In partnership with Mythwright, they’ve revealed the job simulation videogame Kaiju Cleanup is coming to Steam and other platforms at some point in the next several decades, they didn’t really give a timescale.
The game seems to be about methodically deconstructing Kaiju, harvesting their parts and cleaning up the mess left behind. Frankly Director I am bristling with anticipation for a gameplay loop that can finally bring me to satisfaction.
Given that we’ve saved the galaxy twice now we’re certainly due some R&R, check out the trailer, perhaps it’s something you’d like to pick up. Though maybe don’t share it with the consultants, Dr. Ohdious may find it a little too inspirational.
Should it suit your fancy, then be sure to wishlist it, heavens knows that the only way to wrestle success out of that wretched industry is to placate the sinister AP’s that drive the algorithm.
If you don’t like the trailer just let me know Director and I’ll have Medi write hatemail that would make Leonard Moon want to increment his number.
Otherwise be sure to follow the developments via their prerequisite social media accounts.
There’s also the opportunity to test the game early by signing up to playtests on the store page.
A Message from Brightrock Games & Galacticare Maintenance
Hey folks,
Thanks for checking out the announcement of Kaiju Cleanup! We and our partners at Mythwright are super excited to hear what you think, and are looking forward to sharing more over the coming months.
For those of you who’ve been with us for a while, we know this is a departure from our usual faire and might come as a bit of a surprise! After Galacticare — which was a big project for us — we wanted to try our hands at something smaller, lighter, and… messier. Looking further into the future, we’ve also got some other projects in the works, including a return to our roots deep underground.
Speaking of Galacticare, we don’t currently have any paid DLC in the works but there are a few smaller updates and bits of content in the pipes. We’ll keep you updated as these plans evolve! Overall we’re really pleased with the way Galacticare turned out, we think it helped to cement a “Brightrock” style that’s a little different, quirky and full of life and charm. It’s a rich universe that we can’t wait to explore more in the future.
Thank you to everyone who has supported Galacticare, we’ve been thrilled to deliver that story and we look forward to telling our next in Kaiju Cleanup!
Until next time,
- Brightrock Games
