THE GALAXY IS BURNING.
THE WOUNDED ARE PILING UP.
EVACUATE BOWELS.
WAIT – I MEAN "PERSONNEL". EVACUATE PERSONNEL.
Abject chaos in Xil space, Director! Countless worlds colliding about our solar system have cracked under a seismically sneaky surprise attack. If what I'm gleaning from the exonet is correct, GALACTICARE IS AT WAR AAAAAGH!!!!
You know, that's just the sort of high stakes situation that would really suit a brand new narrative DLC for Galacticare, your favourite sci-fi hospital sim.
What's that? We actually made one?
GALACTICARE: THE VOICE BEYOND. Transmission incoming!
Galacticare! This is General Turgidxil reporting!
I've got good news and bad news.
The bad news? Well, the CABAL has been rampaging through bordering systems. Ruthless. Unseen. Absurdly dedicated to snuffing out all life.
I know you're medic types, but by god, we've got no choice but to recruit you.
Listen, you're no mere "hospital administrator" - the hell that means. People are DYING out here, damn it, and they need Galacticare more than ever.
This is no ordinary day on the job. The whole goddamned galaxy is at stake!
We need you to outmaneuver the enemy over THREE FULLY VOICED NARRATIVE CAMPAIGN LEVELS. We need you to prevent an army of Saboteurs from running amok among your patients, transforming into tiny terminators and destroying your precious resources.
We need you to snatch entire species from the jaws of extinction, wresting their shattered immune systems from stomach-churning new ailments like Rave Rash, Voxelitis, Fester Fungus, and Perceptual Parapox, to name but a barf-inducing bunch.
WE NEED YOU TO KILL AN ANCIENT COSMIC GOD!!!!
Ahemhem. Excuse me. Oh, and I mentioned good news, right?
The good news…
Galacticare: The Voice Beyond is launching April 2nd 2025! (That's next week!)
So scrub in, suit up, and get ready to exchange a reasonable sum of money for a video game expansion pack. The fate of all sentient life is in your hands, Director. Will you rally your staff, heal the wounded, and defeat the CABAL? Or will your medical empire be reduced to space dust?
General Turgidxil, over and out.
