Parties
- Spot your party at a glance. Every player in your party now shows their overhead name in the same green used by party chat, while everyone else stays white. It is personal to you: another party's members are green to each other, never to you. Names change colour the moment someone joins, leaves or the party disbands, with no reloading. Monster and NPC nameplates are unchanged.
- No more duplicate parties. If you and a friend both sent each other an invite before either accepted, accepting both used to create two separate parties with the same two people, each listed in World Parties. Now the leftover invitations are cancelled the moment a party forms, the invite window closes on its own, and a stale invite simply reports that it is no longer available.
Trading
- Tooltips work on both sides of the trade window. Hovering an item now shows its full tooltip, including the items your partner has offered. An invisible panel used to sit over their slots to stop you dropping items there, and it was swallowing your mouse hover as well. That panel is gone and the rule is enforced by the slots themselves.
- Read your items after Accept. The tint that shades a confirmed offer was also blocking hover, hiding tooltips on both panels as soon as either player confirmed. The tint looks exactly the same, but you can read through it now.
- Offers are no longer frozen. Your partner's offer panel scrolls with the mouse wheel, and you can change your own offer after confirming it. Changing an offer has always cleared both confirmations on the server, so you both simply confirm again.
Combat and Spell Effects
- Everyone sees your spells connect. Projectile impacts used to be visible only to the caster. To everyone else your bolt vanished on contact with no burst, no flash and no sound, which made ranged fights look flat when watching a party member cast. Impacts now replicate to every player in range, on all projectile abilities rather than just Energy Bolt.
- Strong Blow lands like a heavy hit. The skill now spawns its own purpose-built impact burst instead of borrowing the basic attack's, so a committed swing reads as one at a glance. Audio is unchanged, since the swing sound already plays from the animation.
Fixes
- Charged skills no longer crash the server. Charging a skill such as Energy Bolt and then releasing it could take the whole server down, disconnecting every player online at that moment rather than just the caster. Longer charges made it more likely, so it struck hardest during busy fights. The server has run continuously since the fix landed.
- Running attacks keep your momentum. One of the three basic sword swings was drawing its motion from the wrong source, locking you in place for the length of the swing and making you stutter if you held your movement keys. Because the swing is chosen at random it hit roughly every third attack, which made it feel unpredictable rather than consistently broken.
- Herb gathering sounds right again. Ginger Plant and Sunbloom played no audio at all when struck or harvested, and now use the same rustling foliage sounds as the base Herb resource. Herb gathering audio has also been raised to full volume from 75 percent, so it is no longer lost under combat and ambient sound.
- Delete cannot fire twice. On the character selection screen the Delete button now greys out the instant you press it and stays disabled until the server answers. A fast double-click previously sent two delete requests for the same character.
Behind the Scenes
- The character creation and selection screens were rebuilt on the engine's own networking, joined by server performance and stability groundwork, login and animation cleanup, new editor tooling and a dedicated server build fix. Nothing you see or do changes.
