This release is about your party, plus an in-game guide for running Exo's CYOA on your own local LLM, and some handy quality-of-life improvements around the editors.
Party and Characters
New "Party Invite" quick action: while looking at an NPC, you can now invite them to your party with a single click.
Smarter invite suggestions: the game now only suggests candidates who could realistically join your group -> no hostile or clearly unavailable NPCs. If nobody in sight fits, it proposes a fresh recruit who belongs in the current story.
Smoother character creation: when a new character joins the party, their description is shown right in the join dialog, where you can edit or clear it before confirming. No more re-confirming.
Party list upgrade: every member now has a toggle to take them out of the action and bring them back, plus quick buttons to view their details, edit, or remove them.
Fixed a bug where a newly created party member was not added to the party after confirmation.
Local LLM
Integrated Local LLM Guide, available from the help in LLM Settings: walks you through connecting your own local LLM software (LM Studio and other OpenAI-compatible runtimes), from install all the way to the game's connection.
The guide also covers model selection tips: what speed and VRAM you need, which quantizations to pick, and why turning off reasoning ("thinking") makes turns dramatically faster.
Please note that connecting to cloud providers or entering API keys for subscriptions is not possible. The game exclusively supports the use of local open-source models.
UI Improvements
The adventure, location, and quest editors now have close buttons.
The adventure editor's content scrolls, so everything stays reachable even in smaller windows.
The action selection popup in chat no longer closes when you click on an empty part of the window.
Minor layout tweaks in the character editor for a cleaner look.
Bug Fixes
Fixed a potential error that could occur when character details contained empty fields.
