We used to hand a new Menace the sabotage pad and hope they figured it out while everyone watched. That was not going well, so this update adds somewhere private to learn the role properly.
Learn by causing trouble
- New players now start with a short solo Menace tutorial in Mischief Manor.
- You will steal a chore item, burn it, cut the lights, cause a Blackout, lock the garage, clog the toilet, and hide a theft behind a Flashbang.
- The tutorial gives you one job at a time and waits until you actually do it.
- Finished it already? Open How To Play in a Social Deduction lobby and choose Learn the Menace to run it again.
See what everyone is working on
- The Menace can now press Q or D-pad Right during a real match to look through every Houseguest's private chores.
- The board shows their live progress, so you can choose what is worth stealing, moving, or quietly ruining.
- Press it again to cycle through the house, then back to your own cover chores.
A less painful first launch
- Graphics quality now starts at a preset chosen for your machine. Once you change it yourself, the game leaves it alone.
- New installs start with quieter music and sound effects instead of putting every volume slider at full.
Small cleanup
- Text-only Field Guide pages no longer leave a big empty video box in the middle.
- Tutorial prompts switch properly between keyboard and controller.
- The new tutorial is available in every supported language.
