Pick a Side
Chore Rush has been the quiet mode for a while. This update gives it a second way to play, a proper
scoreboard, and the thing it was missing most: you can now watch the other team taking your work
while it is happening.
This build also folds in the two previous beta builds, so if you skipped those, it is all here.
Chore Rush: two teams, one board
- The host now picks **Free for all** or **Team based** from a Format setting in House Rules.
- In a team match, 1 to 3 chores are live at a time on one shared board, and everybody sees the same
ones.
- The first player to finish a chore claims it for their side, scores the point, and it is struck
off everyone else's list.
- The board refills once every chore on it has been claimed.
- Highest team total wins. Level totals are a draw, because nobody wins alone.
You can see the race happening
- A chore your side is making progress on fills in green.
- The moment the other team gets further along on that same chore, the card turns red and switches
to their progress, so you watch it being taken instead of finding out afterwards.
- Put the prop down and their bar keeps climbing while yours sits still.
- A teammate's progress counts as yours, so a chore your side is winning stays green even when you
are not the one carrying anything.
A cleaner team HUD
- Everyone wears their team colour in a team match, so you can tell friend from rival across a room.
Your usual colour comes back in a free-for-all.
- The scoreboard under the timer reads BLUE 3 - 2 RED, with the leading side highlighted.
- The per-player badge list is hidden during a team match, because the match is decided by side.
- Chore Rush no longer prints ROUND 1 on the HUD. It was always one round.
