The biggest update since launch. Bosses are now real fights, the whole soundtrack went 8-bit, and Steam features finally work the way they should.
⚔️ Six Unique Bosses
Bosses are no longer the same enemy with more HP. Each one is a distinct fight with its own name, size, colour and attack pattern:
Sentinel — a slow rotating spiral. Readable, fair, a proper introduction.
Warden — sparse rings with obvious gaps to slip through.
Lancer— fast aimed volleys that punish standing still.
Bulwark — a wide bullet wall with a deliberate gap in the middle.
Nova Heart — alternates between aimed shots and ring pulses.
Swarm Lord — twin counter-rotating arms. The finale.
Bullet counts were kept deliberately low. These are patterns to learn, not chaos to survive by luck.
🎵 Full 8-Bit Sound Overhaul
Every sound in the game was rewritten as proper chiptune — square and triangle waves, stepped pitch slides, hard-gated envelopes and classic arpeggio jingles for level-ups, evolutions and boss entrances.
⚡ Performance
Added an adaptive quality system. When the swarm gets heavy, glow effects scale back automatically to keep the framerate stable, then return once the pressure drops. Measured up to 1.8x faster rendering in dense fights.
