Thanks everyone for the continued testing, this week I'm extremely excited to bring you the first iteration of Multiplayer COOP!
Multiplayer v0.1
First and foremost, please keep in mind this is an initial version of multiplayer, so expect some bugs! (It's really hard to test multiplayer with only one Vive...)
To play, load up the game to the main scene, in the menu there is a new button that says "Multiplayer (testing)". Pressing it will take you to a new map and automatically connect you to a multiplayer game (if there isn't one available, it will create a new one). I've set it up this way to get you into the action ASAP, as I am assuming there will be few players on at any given time.
Currently there is no voice chat (though it is coming) and the map is very limited, no teleporters or anything, just a wall to defend. You should be able to pick up arrows people give you and play around with the physics barrel on the wall.
The room host (first person in) can start a new siege from the menu for the group to fight, it works identically to the singleplayer.
Enemy difficulty scales dynamically with the number of players, so the game is perfectly playable with 1, 2, 3, or 4 players (4 max per room).
Current known bugs:
- Losing a game will occasionally spawn the next wave anyway.
Please provide feedback on the multiplayer system so that I can improve it :)
Other Changes/Fixes
- Added initial loading scene while game fully loads
- Increased haptic feedback from grabbing and shooting arrows
- Fixed issue where enemies would not do damage on first hit
- Improved hand offset on drawing arrow
- Fixed left handed offset while drawing
- Improved particle system performance
