The dinosaurs can now BLOCK attacks! The ability to time the block correctly and initiate a "parry" maneuver is the next task. Along with blocking, the game features some additions like the PAUSE MENU which can be accessed at any point, stopping the action and providing access to a couple of options. Here you can change the volume of the sound effects, dinosaurs and music all separately. You can also invert the y on the camera and toggle the dino-hp bars on and off.
Those HP bars actually represent another big mechanical change in the game, health CARRIES OVER from fight to fight. This option can be turned off by selecting easier difficulties, but overall it adds a new layer to the decision making found in the CHESS portion of the gameplay loop. Not only do you have to factor in if a pawn has enough starting health to take on one of the stronger classes, but now you have to think if a REDUCED starting health plays an additional factor to the outcome of the match.
More updates as they occur!
