Multiplayer stability
- Enemies no longer rubber band or snap backwards during Trials runs. Position is now handled entirely on your own machine, so what you see stays smooth even on older hardware or a slower connection.
- Match network traffic is dramatically reduced and no longer grows with the number of enemies on screen. Late game rounds with hundreds of enemies now use a fraction of the bandwidth they used to.
- Enemies handing off between boards keep their health correctly as they cross.
Ranked
- Ranked lobbies now fill properly. Previously only the first two players found each other and nobody else could get in until someone left and searched again. Players now keep joining a forming lobby until it is full.
Co-op Trials
- When a player leaves a co-op match, the remaining players can start the next round straight away. Previously the round could never be started early and always waited out the full build timer.
- Fixed rounds ending early while enemies were still spawning on another player's board.
Clarity and Reliability
- If your game is out of date you are now clearly told to restart and update, instead of silently failing to connect. Online modes are unavailable until you do. Campaign remains fully playable offline.
- Being unable to join a match now tells you why, whether the lobby is full, already started, or your version does not match. Previously it could hang with no explanation.
- Abandoned lobbies are cleaned up properly instead of lingering on the server.
Diagnostics
- The game now records anonymous performance information, such as frame timings and hardware details, and uploads it on the next launch. This helps us identify which machines and conditions cause slowdowns so we can fix them.
