World Climate Lab 0.1.10
Fixed
- Worlds no longer freeze over at around 5% of the settle when the first year starts far from balance.
- Tidally locked worlds no longer get far too much rain under their sun. Big storms now build thick, bright cloud tops that shade the ground, as real storms do.
- Thick carbon dioxide atmospheres now trap as much heat as they should, so cold worlds with a bar or two of CO₂ stay temperate instead of freezing. Large amounts of methane and nitrous oxide are more accurate too. Earth is unchanged.
- If the game closes while starting the Detailed model, the next launch starts on Fast and tells you, instead of closing again every time.
- The Detailed model is now prepared on the loading screen, so the time left shown early in a settle is no longer wildly overestimated.
- Worlds with very short years now settle for at least five Earth years.
- Relative Humidity no longer reads above 100% in cold places.
- Climate zones no longer change along a straight line at the equator.
- Animated exports of Temperature, Precipitation and Pressure now step through the year.
- Tides stills no longer export an empty sea.
- The “still settling” note no longer covers the map readout under the mouse.
Changed
- The Detailed climate model is now marked as an experimental beta. Fast remains the default.
- The terraformed Mars preset is removed. Worlds you saved from it still load.
