World Climate Lab 0.1.7
ADDED
- Export Climate Data saves every climate map as numbers rather than colours, for analysis and for other software: temperature, precipitation, rainfall, snowfall, soil water, snow and ice cover and elevation, yearly and month by month, plus the land mask and the climate classes. Each map is a 16-bit greyscale PNG with a JSON file saying what black and white stand for.
- The flat Satellite map now shows the night side of the world, as the globe does. Turn off Night Side in the Satellite key to see the whole map, with its relief lit from the north-west.
- The Aridity layer's readout now shows the aridity index, its class, and the yearly rain beside the water the climate could evaporate.
FIXED
- Fixed the Aridity map: its colours now follow the standard aridity classes, from hyper-arid to humid, so dry regions no longer read as humid. Land frozen all year has its own colour.
- Fixed map keys whose colours did not match the map.
- Fixed the Temperature key not updating as the year turns.
- Fixed a pause of several seconds that could repeat while the Temperature, Precipitation, Pressure or Wind layers were open.
- Fixed the CO2 slider moving past the room left by the other gases.
- Fixed Chinese check box labels such as Clouds losing their second character.
- Fixed a cause of an occasional crash when quitting while a climate was settling.
- Rivers no longer run in straight lines and perfect diagonals across flat land. They now wander across plains and lowlands, as real rivers do.
