Service health and incidents
- New: live service health probe. Every customer service now carries a real-time verdict (Healthy, Degraded, Down, or Unservable) with a specific reason: control plane down, not placed, partially placed, spec exceeds your fleet's ceiling, or no accelerator host available. This replaces the old once-per-hour availability estimate with a continuously accurate read.
- Availability is now measured every tick. Structurally unservable customers used to flicker "breach then recover" every twenty minutes as a single hourly penalty aged out. You now see the true, steady picture instead of phantom recoveries.
- Incidents that explain themselves (first pass). Incidents now tie into the health probe and carry guidance, diagnostic checks, and a walk-to location, so a red service tells you what is wrong and where to go. This is the start of a larger incident-management rework; alongside it we audited every incident type end to end and cleaned up ones that never actually surfaced.
Host pools
- Pools are re-enabled. Fixed the class-claiming bug where a pool serving every class stranded your general-purpose hosts, which could leave large servers unable to place a database. General hosts now stay usable with pools live.
- Pool capacity shortfalls are now legible. If a pool carves a service class down to too little capacity, it surfaces through the same probe, incident, and guidance chain instead of failing silently.
Servers, power, and hardware
- Name your servers. Rename any server, switch, gateway, or appliance from its console. Duplicate names auto-number (web, web 2, web 3), and the name shows on the server's front label and across the ops map.
- Power draw now follows load. Idle servers draw less and ramp toward their rated draw under load, so power opex reflects what your fleet is actually doing. Rack breaker sizing still uses peak draw, so capacity planning is unchanged.
- Accurate PSU inlet counts. Servers and security appliances now provide the exact number of rear power inlets their hardware has, fixing appliances that were short an inlet. Server PSU status LEDs now light.
Fixes and polish
- Esc now pauses the game, not just the menu.
- You can type every letter in save names again (E, Q, Tab, and F were being swallowed by hotkeys in text fields).
- Sandbox now reveals the full codex instead of leaving entries locked.
- Fixed a false "cable lane full (24 cables)" error when running many DAC cables down one rack side.
- Fixed desktop switches rendering at the wrong rack height.
- Removed background music.
- Renamed the game log to uptime.log and stopped it recording player Steam IDs.
