New
Remove perforated cable trays. Perforated trays can now be pulled out the same way as J-hooks. Walk up and hold E to remove a placed tray run.
Datacenter site in Sandbox. Sandbox mode now lets you build at the Datacenter site.
Hardware changes
Desktop switches retired. The 5, 8 and 12 port Desktop GbE switches have been pulled from sale. Any you already own are automatically removed and fully refunded, with a notice in your Ops feed. New garages now start with a 16 port access switch instead.
Faulty gateway pulled. A gateway that shipped without its correct hardware, so its ports and connectors did not line up, has been removed from the catalog. If you owned one it is automatically removed and refunded the same way.
Fixes
Ports reading 0 bps. Links between aggregation and spine switches, and between switches and gateways, showed 0 bps on hover when running redundant uplinks even though traffic was flowing. They now report their real throughput.
Cable length and price mismatch. Short runs such as a 2.2 m SFP+ DAC between neighbouring racks could be rejected as over the length limit and quoted a different price than the setup screen showed. The shown length, the length check and the charged cost now all use the same routed length, so valid short cables build and cost what they quote.
42U rack alignment. Gear mounted in full height 42U racks rode half a U too high. Devices now sit flush in their slots.
Reliability failures now open. In Operations, Reliability, Recent Failures, clicking the arrow on a failure closed the panel instead of showing anything. It now opens the matching incident in the Incidents view.
Panels no longer overflow. Ops panels with a lot of servers, pools or customers spilled off the bottom of the screen. They now scroll properly.
Co-op start failure. Hosting a co-op session could fail with "Couldn't start the simulation engine" on a cold first launch when the engine needed longer to come up. It now waits long enough to start.
