11 depths overhauled. One life on the line.
This is the biggest update I've ever made to MegaDope 2D. If you haven't played in a while, I want you to see how much has changed.
New artwork, animations and sound across all 11 Campaign depths. A refreshed UI and main menu. And a whole new challenge in Leaderboards Till I Die!
Leaderboards Till I Die! — How far will you push it?
Choose from eight heroes and take one life into a continuous expedition across 14 biome families. Collect gear, combine Legendary powers and equipment sets, face bosses and optional Mega Bosses, and keep pushing as Threat rises.
The next fight could improve your run. It could also cost you everything you're carrying.
Use a Return Scroll to extract to the Sanctuary of Unfinished Lives. Bank your finds, adjust your loadout, then resume the same expedition. Death ends that life and destroys equipped and backpack gear. Banked equipment, gold and Death Marks remain for your next attempt.
Chase Steam leaderboard records for overall score, survival, distance, kills, bosses and more. Compare your results, inspect runs, and find another reason to say: one more try.
Come back and rediscover all 11 depths
The regular Campaign has had a huge visual and audio overhaul from Depth 1 through Depth 11. Fight from the Fallen Kingdom to The Last Debt with new artwork, character and enemy animations, sound effects and ambience throughout the journey.
From corrupted forests and machine realms to the Celestial Casino and beyond, there's a lot to see—and a lot trying to kill you.
A fresh look from the moment you launch
The overhaul reaches beyond the battlefield. The main menu and UI have been refreshed too, bringing the presentation together across the game.

I want to keep building on this
I want Leaderboards Till I Die! to keep growing for some time. If you enjoy it and it finds its audience, I plan to keep expanding it, with your feedback helping shape what comes next.
Tell me in the comments: which hero are you playing, which boss got you, and what would you like to see next?
Thank you for playing and for giving MegaDope 2D a chance. This has been a huge overhaul, and I'm excited for you to jump in.
Pick your hero. Push your luck. Give Death something to remember.
