StarFrame Update — August 15, 2026
🏪 Market & Economy
- Your resting orders stay on the board while you are logged off. They used to be pulled out of the book the moment you went offline and only went back up when you logged in. They now keep filling while you are away, for traders at that station and for remote buyers in other systems.
- Orders no longer travel with you through a gate. Jumping used to carry your resting orders, and the goods escrowed in them, into the destination system's book. An order belongs to the station you placed it at and stays there.
🎯 Bounties
- The bounty board and the kill board are now galaxy-wide. A bounty funded in one system can be claimed by a kill in any other, and the kill board lists kills from every system instead of the one you are standing in. It will be a lot longer than you are used to.
- You can now place a bounty on an Outlaw who is logged off, or who is flying in another system. The place button did nothing at all in either case. Your credits go into escrow exactly as they do for a target in front of you.
- The server now refuses a bounty it will not accept. Under 100,000 cr, or on a pilot who is not an Outlaw, takes nothing from you. On screen it still looks like nothing happened; the message telling you why needs a client update and comes in a later patch.
💬 Chat
- Corp and party chat now reach your members anywhere in the galaxy. Both tabs took your line and delivered it to nobody, including you, unless everyone was in the same system.
- Faction chat crosses systems too, and warzone capture alerts reach faction members wherever they are.
- Chat works in the PvP arena. Corp state is still cut in there, so no ticker and no corp panel, but your lines get through.
🏢 Corporations & War
- Wars now survive a server restart. A war was pinned to the part of the system it was declared in and stopped existing when the world reloaded.
- You can declare war from anywhere in the system, not only at the main station.
- War upkeep is now actually charged. The attacker's corp pays 1 cr every 10 minutes, the same fee the declaration costs, and a war the corp cannot pay for ends. No war number changed.
- A war ends the moment the attacking corp disbands, instead of running on to the next fee.
- What a war gives you is siege rights on the other corp's structures and no criminal flag for fighting each other. It does not open ship-to-ship PvP in high security. A shot at another pilot still passes straight through there.
- Corp tax on bounty income now follows a member across the galaxy, including inside rifts. Corps start at a 0% rate, so nothing is taken until a Founder sets one.
🏴 Faction Warfare
- Every pilot who contributed to a warzone capture is now paid. The payout skipped anyone who had left the system before the node flipped, with nothing on screen to say so. You get the full reward wherever you are, or at your next login if you were offline.
- Capture rewards are unchanged: 1,200 cr for a warzone node, 2,000 cr for a system. More pilots get paid per capture now, so the credits going into the warzone go up from this patch.
⚙️ Manufacturing & Jobs
- Jobs you started in another system are back on the JOBS panel. A remote job ran down to its last second, the row vanished, and nothing turned up in that station's assets. The job was always running and the panel was lying: every one of them, including jobs weeks old, now shows at 100% with the station to collect it from.
- Cancelling a structure build refunds the build fee for every run that had not been produced yet. A Storage Depot run charges 50,000 cr and a Corp Outpost run charges 250,000 cr on top of the materials, and that money used to be kept. Runs already delivered keep paying it.
- Hull builds refused for a full station now start. The check ignored station space you had bought.
🏗️ Structures & Storage
- Mined ore can now be put into a structure's hold. Clicking a row under ORE HOLD did nothing at all, because the deposit only ever looked at your general cargo. Corp storage takes ore too, from the system's main station area.
- Personal structure holds are now capped at 10,000 units, the same limit corp storage has. Anything already over the line stays where it is and withdraws as normal; further deposits into that hold are refused until it is back under.
- The station storage bar shows the capacity you actually paid for. Every expansion you had bought was invisible to it, and a pilot who had never bought one read 0/0 kg.
- Withdrawing into a full ship now says which hold is full, instead of claiming you hold none of the thing the structure is holding for you.
🎰 Dens & Games
- Bets on the table are returned if a server stops unexpectedly. The stake left your wallet the moment you placed it, and an ungraceful stop took the table with it. The round is voided and the stake comes back.
- A brief disconnect no longer costs you your seat or your hand. A five-second blip used to free your seat and forfeit whatever was dealt, splits, doubles and the insurance stake with it. Leaving the table yourself, or dropping off for longer than the 60-second grace, still forfeits a dealt hand.
- A free-spin run survives a restart and can be spent at any den. Free spins and an unfinished bonus round were wiped by every restart.
- A bonus round you walked away from waits for you, with no time limit. It also blocks your next spin until you finish it. That is deliberate.
💎 Loot
- Wrecks outside the main station area survive a server restart. Kill loot, hideout reward caches and everything scattered by a destroyed structure were deleted by every restart.
⚖️ Balance
- A server restart no longer frees you from a web bubble. Deployed bubbles outside the main station area were wiped by every restart, so being tackled was solved by waiting for a deploy. They persist now.
- Slots now pays the return it is tuned for. Restarts confiscated any free-spin run or bonus round in progress, so the machines quietly paid less than that. Payout volume goes up slightly and permanently. Not one machine number changed.
📋 Please read
- Every order that was off the board because its owner was offline is back in the book. They are back at the price they were written at, which for some of them is a long time ago. If you do not want those prices, cancel them; they can fill the moment they are up.
- EXPAND STORAGE still quotes 100,000 cr, and that is only the price of your first one. Each expansion at a dock costs 100,000 cr more than the last, up to 1,500,000 cr for the fifteenth. Fixing the caption needs a client update, so expect the escalating charge until then.
🐛 Bug Fixes
- Fixed a market sale destroying your credits when you were away from the station. If your sell order filled while you were in a belt, at a gate, in a rift or logged off, the buyer paid and the money never reached you. You are paid wherever you are now, within a few seconds, or at your next login if you were offline.
- Fixed the same loss on the change owed from a buy order. A buy order that fills below the price you set refunds you the difference, and that refund went the same way.
- Fixed orders left resting at a station that is no longer there. They are cancelled and paid back: escrowed goods to your hold at that system's main station, escrowed credits to your balance.
- Fixed bounty escrow refunds vanishing when you were away. When a bounty burns out unclaimed the credits go back to whoever funded it, and if you were in another system, in a rift or logged off they were destroyed instead. The refund now finds you, or waits for your next login.
- Fixed the bounty refund announcement quoting an amount nobody was paid. It reported the whole escrow whether any of it had been delivered or not, and now reports what actually landed.
- Fixed corporation tax on a bounty being taken from the member and never reaching the corp. The tax came off the earner wherever they made the kill, but only arrived in the corp wallet for a kill in the system's main station area.
- Fixed being flagged criminal for shooting a corp you are at war with. The war was only known to the part of the system it was declared in, so the same fight one belt over made you a criminal.
- Fixed goods bought from another system being refused for a full station. The delivery ignored station space you had bought.
Server-side update — nothing to download. Systems restart in a rolling window, so you may be disconnected once.
