StarFrame Update — July 23, 2026
⚙️ Manufacturing & Jobs — Full Rework
- Jobs now belong to the station where you start them. They keep running when you undock, jump gates, or log out — no more frozen jobs or lost materials after leaving the system. Anything that finished while you were away is waiting in that station's hangar when you return.
- See every job from anywhere. The JOBS panel lists all your jobs galaxy-wide, tagged with their station and system, with live progress and ETAs. Jobs at other stations are display-only — fly there to cancel one.
- One job per activity type, per station. Run an ore refine at one station, an ammo build at another, and another refine at your outpost, all at once — the old global one-per-type limit is gone. Premium parallel slots add extra concurrent jobs on top, shared across all your stations.
📡 Survey Scanners — Tiers I–III
- Scanner tier now determines which ores you can detect. Basic scanners only survey common ores; Tier I adds Troilite, Tier II adds Pentlandite, and Tier III detects everything, including Iridosmine. Survey range also increases with tier.
- Surveying trains the Mineral Survey skill (Profession → Mining), which unlocks fitting the higher-tier scanners. New scanner blueprints are buildable.
🔧 Salvagers — Tiers I–III
- Higher tiers recover more components from every wreck: +25% / +50% / +100%. The bonus applies fairly to every wreck, including small ones — no more rounding away on single-component stacks.
- Higher tiers also salvage faster and reach farther — both the salvage beam and loot pickup range.
- Fitting higher tiers requires the Salvaging skill; new salvager blueprints are buildable.
💎 Loot
- Blueprint drops now scale with system security. High-sec caches drop Tier I blueprints; med-sec drops Tier II (except ship hulls); low-sec drops Tier II hulls and Tier III blueprints — the best prints live in the most dangerous space.
🚀 Flight
- Fixed off-forward speed caps. Strafing, reversing, and vertical thrust now reach full max speed — only acceleration differs by axis, as intended.
🔩 Misc
- Premium profession point cap adjusted 720 → 700.
- Manufacturing lock text now consistently states the missing blueprint or skill level.
Restart Steam to pick up the update. Not-yet-updated clients keep working, but only see jobs at their current station until updated.
