## About the English Version
Yes, the UI is currently in Chinese. This isn't a technical problem, and it's not because we don't plan to do it — it's because the developer (just one person, who doesn't even know how to code) is still adding features and tuning things at a ridiculous pace.
Here's some of what's been happening lately:
- 🖼 **AI Image Library**: Hundreds of public domain museum engravings + AI-generated scene/character art
- 🎵 **AI Music Library**: 200+ AI-composed tracks with vocals in Chinese, English, German, Latin, Czech, Russian, Japanese, and more
- 📊 **MP System**: Mana Points that interact with HP, three strategic archetypes, auto-allocated by AI
- 🎤 **Voice Input**: Browser-native speech recognition, tap to speak
- 🔊 **Voice Narration**: Dual-engine (browser TTS / Kokoro offline), 9 Chinese voice presets
- ☁ **Author Server** (in development — requires review, not recommended for daily use yet)
- 💀 **Extreme Difficulty Mode**: Model-specific difficulty tiers from Hard+ to Hard+++. On certain model combinations, the AI **will** treat you like a punching bag
- 📅 Date system bug fixes + UI improvements
- 🔧 Steam Workshop / Achievements / Cloud Saves (research phase)

## Important Warning for New International Players: Don't Start with Gemini
I just tested this myself: a regular physician character, insisting on saving lives, not believing the robots would go rogue (there were no robots at the start, to be fair). Died in **6 turns**.
A normal character. Normal choices. Nothing wrong. Six turns. Gemini crushed him.
If you're new to Story Engine, **start with DeepSeek**. Gemini's difficulty curve is in a completely different universe. Get comfortable with the system first. You have been warned.
