A UI pass driven by playtest feedback: a redesigned unit status screen, clearer upgrade progress, dialogue that reveals as it's spoken, and a long list of consistency fixes.
New:
- Dialogue now appears letter by letter with a short retro blip. The Text Speed setting (Slow, Normal, Fast) finally controls it, and a new Instant option shows every line at once without sound.
- Redesigned unit status screen: profile, stats and limit break each get their own box, with HP, XP and limit gauge bars, a small attack-range diagram, the unit's vehicle and her movement type.
- Switch between units right on the status screen with the arrow buttons next to the name, the Left and Right arrow keys, or Q and E.
- Upgrades now show every value they can reach as a row of boxes: values you already own, the current one, and the ones still locked. The level-up screen uses the same view and outlines the value your pick unlocks.
Changes:
- "Skills" are now called "Upgrades", because every pick upgrades that unit's limit break. The level-up screen now names the limit break you are upgrading.
- Unlocked achievements get a gold frame, so they are easy to tell apart from locked ones. Level achievement icons show a larger level number.
- The stage clear screen shows unlocked achievements as a tidy grid, and the star result line is larger and color-coded.
- The View / Export Action Log button on the stage clear screen is hidden by default. Turn on "Show action log button" under Gameplay Options if you want to attach a log to a bug report.
- Character names now use one color set everywhere, matched to each outfit, and every text color meets a contrast minimum. Maria's name in particular is readable again.
- Titles and section headings use one consistent style across all menus.
- The settings menu lists its buttons two per row.
- World map: the menu and help buttons sit side by side, the Cutscenes and Tutorials toggles no longer look like the chapter buttons, and the tip box keeps one size while you cycle tips.
- Long tooltips now wrap instead of running across the screen.
- The Easy-mode repair toggle now says "repair bar" instead of "skill bar".
Bug fixes:
- The Text Speed setting had no effect: dialogue always appeared instantly.
- Text Speed choices were shown in English in every language.
- Tooltips on locked world map stages were always in English.
- A German world map tip was cut off.
- Builds contained about 2.7 MB of stray development files. They are no longer included, so downloads are a little smaller.
